Disruptive Innovation: Shifts in Technology

Join us on Nov. 9 as we hear from influential serial entrepreneur Emi Takemura on the disruptive innovations driving unprecedented technological and societal change and our roles in developing "technology fluency."

Thursday November 9th / 19:00 - 22:00 / Members ¥2000 (Associates ¥1500) / Guests (Women only) ¥5000 / Students and Interns (Women only) ¥3000 (includes salad/finger food buffet and soft drinks/wine)

Join us for our November Monthly Meeting, where Emi Takemura, Co-founder and Advisor, Peatix, Inc. and Co-founder, FutureEdu Tokyo, will walk us through disruptive innovation– the what and why behind the rapid change we have seen in internet technology and the emergence of new business models taking advantage of these changes. She will address both the changes in the last decade and hint at changes in the near future. For instance, is it robots/automation we should fear? Or is the fear more with the new currency of power: data?

Attendees will learn about the disruptive innovation driving unprecedented technological and societal change, understand the recent shifts in internet technologies, and identify with the role that we all have, regardless of gender, in developing “technology fluency.”
