Women’s Start-Up Club: Online Presence Part II

Join us on March 22 for Part 2 of the FEW WSC's series on utilizing the right social media tools to build a strong online presence from three experienced professionals: web designer Marci Kobayashi, Victoria Close of Bikudesigns, and Kaoru Jo of LinkedIn.

Come and join us for a full on workshop style FEW-WSC evening on Thursday March 22 for part 2 of building a strong online presence series.

We are excited to have three experienced professionals share their practical, hands-on tips on how to set up social media to generate an impact.

Workshop Leaders:

  • Marci Kobayashi will share strategies for how to use your website and blog to build your online presence in a way that feels in alignment with who you are and speaks to your audience.
  • Victoria Close of Bikudesigns will talk through the features of Instagram and Facebook Business pages. Learn about how to find your voice, engage your audience and steadily grow your true tribe.
  • Kaoru Jo of LinkedIn will teach us how to set up a LinkedIn profile and use LinkedIn to attract clients for your B2B business.

These three speakers have more than 10 years of experience running a business in Japan.

All participants will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers during a rotating workshop style-session. So make sure to sign up for an intense evening of learning!

In the spirit of the online theme, we highly recommend you bring your smart phones. If you bring your computer, please note, there is no wifi in the venue.

Marci KobayashiMarci Kobayashi is a web designer, coach, and writer with a passion for discovering spirit in all shapes and sizes. Marci helps entrepreneurs transform how it looks and feels to be online.




Victoria CloseVictoria Close is a jewelry designer and the founder of Bikudesigns. Victoria has many years of experience of running an online creative business in Tokyo.




Kaoru Jo_UpdatedKaoru Jo is a sales manager at LinkedIn, working with a staffing agency on how to use LinkedIn solutions to expand their businesses. She is passionate about creating economic opportunities through technology.

FEW Women’s Start-up Club meets once every two months to address challenges and topics of interest when starting a business in practical, hands-on workshop style.  We discuss issues, insights and share tips based on successes of women running or planning their own businesses in Japan.
