FEW Japan was founded in 1981 and has been run solely by members for its members for over 43 years. Legally incorporated in July 2020, FEW Japan Not-for-Profit Incorporated Association is continuing the legacy of building women’s empowerment as a multi-stakeholder community partnering for SDG17 (partnership for the goals) to bring together individual members, organizational members (for profit and nonprofit), and corporate members.
Collaborative & Diverse
Our all-woman board brings together womxn from diverse nationalities and professional backgrounds, welcoming womxn of all cultural backgrounds, mother tongues and sexualities, and bringing an explicitly trans-inclusive commitment to our safe space for womxn in Japan. Directors serve on a purely volunteer basis and have separate professional activities and family responsibilities outside of their board role. As a membership-based community including individuals, organizations and corporations committed to our mission, we are grateful for these individual directors’ willingness to contribute their precious time and talent in support of this vital womxn’s empowerment community in Japan.

Bree Fabig

Bree Fabig
Representative Director
Bree Fabig leads the executive team for 2025-2026 with a talent for forging relationships across diverse stakeholders, balancing priorities, and driving forward a unified vision.
Her background spans startups, product leadership, marketing, and cross-cultural communication, with industry expertise in edtech, the creator economy, media, publishing, agriculture, and small business. Most recently, she led product at an edtech startup where she designed and brought to market a complete product portfolio.
Bree's connection to Japan began in 2013 after a homestay experience in Tokyo. She has since lived in Kobe, traveled the country, spent time on organic farms, lived in the UK, and is now based in Shizuoka.
She is driven by a commitment to the design of tech-enabled inclusive, sustainable futures. She is pursuing an MBA at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, and is also undertaking design studies research with The New Centre on the use of cultural data in technology.
Harumi Gondo

Harumi Gondo grew up in the United States and graduated with her Master’s in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. After serving as a lecturer in religion and philosophy at Bergen Community College, she arrived in Japan 6 weeks before the 2011 earthquake and experienced culture shock for a few years.
In 2013 she began her work with Personality Type, and has clocked over 10,000 hours on the 16 types, Jungian cognitive functions, and their archetypal energies. She SUPER-nerds out with Personality Type and Jungian and shadow-work.
In 2018 she founded TypeLAB, a non-profit type community for Japanese mothers, which runs hundreds of sessions per year. TypeLAB has become the training ground for mothers in the community to support others with their type development.
Harumi established her company in 2022. Recent clients include eBay, Dentsu, Shiseido, Sunstar, and WHILL. Additionally, she was asked by the Japanese publisher, Gentosha, to write a book on the 16 types.
Harumi lives in Tokyo’s Nishi-Kasai neighborhood with her husband and two daughters. She is active in her community and serves both on the board of her daughter’s junior high school PTA, as well as the board of the Australian Association for Psychological Type.
Diana Beketova

Diana Beketova is a Ukrainian-German credit risk professional currently working in the financial services sector. Originally from southern Ukraine, she pursued her studies in business across Germany and China, and later moved to the Netherlands, where she completed her master’s degree in financial economics.
Diana began her professional career in Germany before relocating to Singapore for three years. She is now settled in Japan, where she is actively building her professional network and seeking meaningful volunteering opportunities to contribute to the local community. Passionate about supporting female diversity in professional spaces, Diana is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where women from diverse backgrounds can thrive, share knowledge, and empower each other.
In her free time, Diana enjoys traveling, hiking the Japanese Alps, swimming, and practicing Pilates. Since moving to Japan, she has become a proud dog owner of Maxx, a Japanese Spitz, who accompanies her in exploring the famous 百名山 (100 Famous Mountains of Japan) during the pleasant spring and autumn weather.
Diana is excited to join FEW as Corporate Memberships Co-Director and looks forward to sharing her corporate experience while actively engaging with FEW’s corporate members through various events and opportunities, with a focus on promoting female diversity and leadership development.
Emily Larcombe

Emily Larcombe is a British-Japanese marketing professional currently working in the education sector. Growing up in the south of England, she read French and Spanish philology at university, before later moving to Paris and Tokyo to complete a dual masters degree in Public Policy.
Passionate about education and the art of storytelling, she directed a film project investigating the generational shifts observed in the use of the indigenous languages across the Ryukyu islands. During her time at the University of Tokyo, she also led the events and planning as co-director of Womenpowered International, an organization connecting and empowering women within the university and wider community. She is now looking forward to joining FEW Japan as Director of Communications, sharing her experiences to contribute to FEW’s mission of nurturing a supportive and vibrant community of women.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying out new recipes, gardening, reading and practicing yoga. Since moving to Japan, her favorite season is now Autumn, and she loves making the most of the sunny blue skied days to go hiking in the mountains or exploring different neighborhoods in Tokyo.
Tomo Uchida

Tomo Uchida is a Visual Designer based in Tokyo. Born and raised in Hong Kong, but with roots stemming from Japan and the Philippines, she grew up surrounded by diverse cultures and perspectives - which often inspires her creative endeavors.
While studying for her bachelor's in Graphic Design at Falmouth University, she found that she was able to use graphic design as a vessel to voice her beliefs. Tomo is actively engaged in women’s empowerment initiatives and believes in the power of creativity to drive social change.
Tomo relocated to Japan in 2023 in the hopes of reconnecting to her roots, her goal is to continue to evolve as a freelance designer while making meaningful contributions to both the creative industry and the communities she cares about.

Rowan Hatcher is a bilingual digital experience strategist and web designer based in Kyoto. With a foundation in interior design and professional experience in education, hospitality, and operations, they specialize in bridging cultures through clear communication and thoughtful systems design.
In their client work, Rowan helps independent businesses in the creative and hospitality sectors streamline bilingual communications, optimize digital platforms, and create smoother experiences for both teams and customers. Their work is grounded in a belief that design and systems thinking can be powerful tools to improve lives and strengthen communities.
Rowan is eager to contribute as a member of the board by supporting FEW Japan’s website and newsletter, helping ensure members feel informed, connected, and supported.
Kaleigh O’Neill

Kayleigh O’Neill is a Tokyo-based HR and organisational development professional from London. She has lived in Japan for eight years and previously spent a year in South Korea.
Kayleigh began her career in recruitment before moving into education and later finding her calling in HR, where she focuses on creating workplaces that are fair, engaging, and human. With a strong interest in employment law, she holds a Certificate in Japanese Labour & Employment Law from Temple University Japan and is currently completing her MSc in Organisational Psychology with the University of London.
She believes that if we spend forty hours a week at work, we should enjoy at least most of it,and that happy employees are naturally more productive, making it a win-win for both people and organisations. Her long-term goal is to start her own business dedicated to building a better society through better workplaces.
Outside of work, Kayleigh enjoys stand-up comedy, drag, burlesque, pole, theatre, sci-fi, astrology, and cats.

Yu-Ching Chang is a Taiwanese born and raised in Tokyo. She received a Bachelor’s degree at a US college in Computer Science after graduating from an international school in Tokyo. She started her professional career in banking in Tokyo. Realizing that her real passion was in fashion and retail, she changed jobs to e-commerce companies to get hands-on learning about retail by utilizing her tech background while learning about the retail business. She then worked in different roles in various international fashion companies after studying Fashion Merchandising and Management in Italy.
Yu-Ching founded Borderless Creations in 2019 to make changes for a better future through ethical fashion, lifestyle, education, and coordination. She is committed to helping people, companies, and schools make changes and positive impacts through products, mindsets, and actions.
Katie Marple

Katie Marple was born and raised in England. After serving as a Senior Manager overseeing social program development and CSR for one of the royal charities, she left the UK to travel the world. Her journey took her from designing research projects in the Costa Rican jungle to life on a remote island paradise, before eventually making Japan her home.
Passionate about education, Katie specializes in non-violent communication, intercultural negotiation skills, and languages. Since moving to Tokyo, she has become known for building meaningful partnerships that expand opportunities for women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional growth. In her role as Director of Corporate Memberships for FEW Japan, she focuses on cultivating strong relationships with corporate partners, aligning shared values, and creating impactful collaborations that advance FEW’s mission.
Outside of her professional work, Katie loves deep conversations over coffee and is often found in a café with other women, chatting about life, the universe, and everything.
Lizeth Flores

Lizeth Flores is a Grants Consultant with over 10 years of experience as a nonprofit fundraiser. She has served in roles with organizations such as U.S.VETS, Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice. Outside of this work, Flores has been a member of the board for School on Wheels, and a WCAPS (Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation) Fellow.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from UCLA, and her MPA with a concentration in International Policy from Cornell University. Flores was born in Guadalajara, Mexico; grew up in Los Angeles, California; and now resides in Tokyo with her husband and two cats.
Nancy Miyaji

Nancy Miyaji is an American who was raised in Nagasaki and educated in both Japan and the United States. She works as a foreign attorney at one of Japan’s leading law firms, where her role often requires coordinating between Japanese and overseas counsel and navigating differences across legal systems.
Growing up as an American in Nagasaki from the age of 11 was not always easy. At times, Nancy felt isolated from those around her. Those experiences, however, gave her lasting resilience and an understanding of what it feels like to be on the outside, which drives her commitment to creating spaces where people feel welcome. Her cross-cultural background strengthened her ability to connect people across different perspectives and deepened her appreciation for supportive communities such as FEW Japan.
Drawing on both her professional skills and her personal experiences, Nancy joined the FEW Japan Board as Legal Secretary. She sees this role as an opportunity to contribute her legal expertise while helping to build the kind of community she wished she had growing up. She believes that highlighting diverse role models in Japan can demonstrate different paths to success and encourage others to pursue their goals with confidence. Through her role at FEW Japan, she hopes to foster a community where women feel connected, supported, and equipped for success.
