Founded in 1981, FEW has been connecting and empowering women in Japan for more than four decades. What began as a community for women looking to build connections has grown into a diverse network of women from around the world.
While the world around us has changed, our purpose remains the same: creating a welcoming community where women can meet, support one another, and grow together.Today, FEW continues that tradition by bringing women together through events, learning opportunities, social activities, and meaningful connections.

President's Message
Welcome to FEW Japan.
For more than 40 years, FEW has been bringing women together in Japan to connect, learn and grow. What makes FEW special is the community itself, the friendships, conversations, encouragement and opportunities that happen when women come together.
Japan can be an incredible place to live, but building a life here can sometimes feel challenging, particularly when you are starting from scratch. FEW was created to make that journey a little easier by creating a space where women can meet, share their experiences and support one another.
Whether you are new to Japan or have been here for years, I hope FEW gives you the opportunity to meet someone new, learn something interesting, try something outside your comfort zone and feel part of something bigger.
